Job Description
Job Summary A growing commercial construction team in Monterey Park, CA is seeking an Entry-Level Assistant Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent to support commercial tenant improvement projects throughout Southern California. This is an excellent direct hire opportunity for a recent Construction Management graduate or an early-career construction professional ready to build long-term expertise in field operations, site coordination, and project execution. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with experienced field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams to help keep projects safe, organized, on schedule, and aligned with quality expectations. This role offers hands-on mentorship, career growth, and exposure to commercial construction projects in a supportive team environment that values training, accountability, collaboration, and professional development. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent with daily site operations for commercial tenant improvement construction projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, site logistics, and project activities.
- Support project schedules by tracking progress, monitoring milestones, and communicating updates to the project team.
- Conduct site walks, quality control checks, and daily reporting to document project activity.
- Help enforce job site safety standards and company safety policies.
- Participate in project meetings and develop the skills needed to manage projects independently. Compensation and Benefits
Salary:
$60,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience.Employment Type:
