Business Program Manager II Location:

Mountain View, California Work Arrangement:

On-site (minimum 3 days/week; flexible start 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM)

Duration:

6-month assignment (high likelihood of extension)

Team Context:

Supporting an advanced research and hardware development group. Functions as a domestic companion to an existing international counterpart in a follow-the-sun operational model.

Key Responsibilities Ticket & Workflow Management:

Oversee logistics ticket flows to capture required data for cross-border shipping of specialized hardware and custom technical platforms.

Documentation & Compliance:

Review contents against commercial invoices and packing lists; assist with custom crating solutions and international import/export processes.

Project Management:

Drive short-term ad hoc projects with strict deadlines (e.g., global hardware roadshows) alongside long-term initiatives (e.g., site expansions, data migrations).

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner directly with engineers, security teams, research TPMs, procurement, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Hands-On Operations:

Execute occasional physical tasks, including inspecting hardware in labs, navigating multi-level facilities, and assisting with crating/loading. Candidate Qualifications Top 3

Attributes:

Exceptional organizational skills, tactful communication with technical engineering teams, and high adaptability to shifting priorities.

Core Experience:

Established Program Manager with a hands-on, operational execution background rather than purely administrative documentation oversight.

Industry Background:

Preferred:

Freight forwarding, international trade, supply chain operations, aerospace, or automotive.

Acceptable:

General program managers with strong operational experience from tech, defense, or high-tech hardware sectors.

Tooling:

Experience with Asana and Workspace (specific internal systems can be trained rapidly for candidates with the right foundation).

Physical & Security Requirements:
