Job Overview:

MC Contracting is seeking a seasoned, highly organized, well rounded, and self-motivated Project Manager, experienced in renovations of existing commercial, hospitality and/or HOA projects. This position will be based in Oceanside with jobs located throughout Southern California.

Job Description:

The construction project manager will be a vital part of the management team. Responsibilities will include material take offs, as well as scheduling and supervising construction projects. Experience with commercial and residential construction is necessary and ground up experience is helpful. Tasks Include but not limited to: Prepares and manages budgets for assigned projects Monitors construction from start to finish while keeping on time and in budget Negotiating change requests with clients in a professional manner to foster good-will with team members. Negotiating subcontracts and material pricing in a fair manner in the best interest of the project. Participates in regularly scheduled construction status meetings and prepares detailed and accurate reports of said meetings Collaborates with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team Obtains and maintains appropriate permits and license and safety regulations for construction sites Prepare SOV, monthly billing, develop and maintain RFI's and change orders for processing Manages project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance Defines project scope, identifies project resources needed, develops project management plan/project schedules, and develops a plan for project execution Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path Identifies project success criteria and distributes them to the appropriate parties throughout project life cycles Collaborates with various teams to execute the project management plan; revises plan via a structured change control process as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Prepares project status reports for assigned projects Reviews and approves material order request.

Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills, and effective listening skills. Ability to work in an office and in the field in a fast-paced environment with variable working hours. Strong analysis and critical thinking skills Deadline and detail-oriented
