Full-time Construction Project Manager Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates and oversees multiple multi-million-dollar project activities Manages pre-construction services with client to achieve construction budget. Coordinates with Owner, and Project Team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off. Plans all phases of the construction lifecycle from initiation to completion. Identify and prepare for long lead schedule impacts Manage documentation including meeting minutes, RFI's, submittals, shop drawings, RFPs, ASI's and inspection reports, special inspection tests results. Identify, track, and manage scope and change orders both Owner/Client and Subcontractor Verifies subcontractor proposals plans and prepare detailed subcontractor "scope of work" packages. Ensures all necessary regulations and permits are obtained prior to project commencement. Interact with and manage field superintendents on multiple projects. Communicates with clients and delivers project progress reports. Develops and adheres to the budget, timeline, and quality control plan. Consult with head office on projects tracking and operational budgets Attend and contribute in all OAC meetings. Ensures that all local, state, and national building codes and regulations and safety precautions are followed. Uses software to prepare 3-wk rolling schedules, update, track progress, and document project progression. Establish project estimates based on civil, architectural, structural, and MEP sheets Ensures monthly billings accurately reflect work completed on projects. Resolve conflicts between superintendents and subcontractors as needed. Conduct regular job walks to ensure Subcontract performance, schedule, and the highest quality of workmanship. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct, company policies, procedures, and all relevant regulations. Assist on-site accounting, senior project management and administrative staff as needed in a timely manner. Assist with constructability review and value engineering efforts. Construction Project Manager Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager
  • Flexible with ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently Proficient in construction / project management software including but not limited to Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Project) Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
Supervises and guides a project team including construction manager and assistant construction project managers. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills, time-management, problem-solving, budgeting and thrives in a high-activity environment Must exercise sound judgement in claims prevention and dispute avoidance. Develop, nurture, and maintain ongoing client, architect, subcontractor relationships at the appropriate level. Able to take direction from and communicate with Management Candidate will report to the Director of Construction Services.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Highschool diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in construction science and management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related degree (Preferred)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) (Preferred) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-Hour Outreach Training (Preferred) Construction Project Management certification (Preferred) LEED AP
  • 3 years of construction experience, 5+ preferred Commercial, custom residential and hospitality project experience a plus.
