MFS Construction is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion . This is a hands-on role for a construction professional who understands that successful projects require more than keeping a schedule updated. You'll work closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams to manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and communication from start to finish. We're looking for someone who is proactive, organized, solutions-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership when challenges arise. What You'll DoOwn the Project Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and action plans. Review plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work. Coordinate closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams. Track project progress and follow up on outstanding items. Identify and resolve issues that could affect cost, schedule, quality, or project delivery. Manage Costs & Budgets Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments, and expenditures. Track change orders and evaluate potential cost impacts. Review subcontractor and vendor proposals, invoices, and payment applications. Assist with project forecasting and financial reporting. Identify and communicate potential cost concerns to leadership and project stakeholders. Coordinate Subcontractors & Vendors Coordinate subcontractor and vendor activities throughout the project. Monitor progress, schedules, deliverables, and performance. Help resolve scope, scheduling, coordination, and quality issues. Support procurement and material coordination. Maintain strong, professional relationships with project partners. Build Strong Client Relationships Communicate regularly with clients and project stakeholders. Provide clear updates on project progress, schedule, budget, and potential issues. Participate in project meetings and coordination calls. Respond to client concerns and help develop timely solutions. Build professional, trust-based relationships with clients and project partners. Keep the Schedule on Track Maintain and update project schedules and milestones. Monitor critical activities and upcoming work. Work closely with the Superintendent to address field and scheduling challenges. Identify potential delays and assist with mitigation plans. Evaluate the schedule and cost impact of project changes. Keep Documentation & Quality on Point Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence. Maintain accurate and organized project documentation. Review project requirements to ensure work aligns with plans, specifications, and contract requirements. Coordinate with field teams to address quality issues and deficiencies. Support punch list, closeout, and final project documentation. Partner with the Field Team Work closely with Superintendents and field personnel to support successful project execution. Connect office and field operations to keep everyone aligned. Establish priorities and follow up on project action items. Provide regular project updates to company leadership. Help the entire project team stay focused on deadlines, deliverables, and project goals. What You BringRequired Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience. Proven experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through completion. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, scheduling, and project coordination. Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and field teams. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Working knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project documentation. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project demands. Experience with construction/project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar platforms . Experience That Will Set You Apart Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: Healthcare or medical construction Life sciences or laboratory projects Commercial construction Tenant improvements and renovations Ground-up construction Occupied or active commercial environments Prevailing wage projects Procore Bluebeam Revu Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 Construction cost control and forecasting A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required with strong relevant construction experience.
