Job Title:

Logistics Expeditor / Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Expeditor to support supply chain and manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely delivery of materials and products. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to monitor shipments, resolve delivery issues, and maintain material availability to support production schedules. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and expedite inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

Coordinate with suppliers, freight carriers, and logistics providers to track shipments and resolve delays.

Communicate shipment status and delivery updates to internal teams.

Maintain accurate records and update ERP systems with shipment and inventory information.

Identify potential material shortages and escalate issues to minimize production disruptions.

Collaborate with purchasing, planning, warehouse, and production teams to prioritize critical deliveries.

Ensure shipping documentation is complete and compliant with company procedures.

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and supply chain processes.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred.

1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, materials coordination, or a related manufacturing environment.

Experience with shipment tracking, freight coordination, and supplier communication.

Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar is preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

Manufacturing, electronics, automotive, aerospace, medical device, or industrial industry experience.

Familiarity with international shipping, customs documentation, freight forwarding, and Incoterms is a plus.
