Long-Term Contract through January 2028 Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the successful execution of two microgrid energy projects in the Santa Barbara, California area. Both projects combine solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS), providing a long-term opportunity with continuity from one project to the next. The first project is scheduled to begin in September and is expected to last approximately 6-9 months. Upon completion, the Construction Manager will transition directly to the second project, which is anticipated to begin in February and continue for approximately 12 months. Project Scope Project 1 Rooftop Solar PV Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Approximately 6-9 month duration Project 2 Carport Solar PV Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Approximately 12 month duration Responsibilities Manage all onsite construction activities from mobilization through commissioning. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure safe, efficient project execution. Maintain project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety compliance. Lead daily site meetings and provide regular progress updates to project stakeholders. Review and coordinate construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Work closely with the project team to resolve field issues and maintain project milestones. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents, company standards, and applicable codes. Qualifications 5+ years of Construction Management experience on renewable energy or electrical infrastructure projects. Experience managing commercial or utility-scale solar construction projects. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or microgrid experience is highly preferred. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality management. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple project stakeholders while maintaining schedule and budget objectives.
