Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial and residential construction projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and closing of construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. Develop detailed project schedules using Builder Trend project management software to coordinate construction timelines effectively. Manage project budgets through cost estimation, tracking, and control using a 3 bid process. Oversee the preparation and review of construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless communication and project progress. Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and regulatory requirements are met. Utilize construction management software Builder Trend for document control, progress tracking, and communication. Read and interpret construction plans and contracts to resolve issues promptly and maintain project momentum. Manage teams in a construction management role by providing leadership, direction, and performance feedback. Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Monitor project schedules closely to identify potential delays early and implement corrective actions proactively. Oversee project documentation including reports, logs, change orders, and compliance records to maintain transparency and accountability. Requirements Proven experience managing residential or commercial construction projects with a strong track record of delivering on time and within budget. Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Proficiency in project management software Builder Trend or similar platform, and other relevant tools. Strong skills in construction estimating, cost management, scheduling coordination, blueprint reading, and contract administration. Hands-on experience working on active construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices. Ability to read technical drawings (construction plans) accurately and interpret specifications effectively. Excellent leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment while fostering collaboration. Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and team members at all levels. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of heavy civil or infrastructure projects is highly desirable; commercial construction experience is essential. Strong organizational skills with a focus on time management to meet deadlines consistently.
