Candidates with a valid CA Site Supervisor Permit are placed higher in the pay scale (an additional 5% which is reflected in the pay range above). Length of Work Year 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 12 months per year; Hours Must be available to open the center at 7:15 a.m. if necessary / 12 months , schedules, and location are subject to change when school is not in session based on the needs of the program.

View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the overall supervision of site operation ensuring adequate supervision of children. Director is required to be in ratio as needed to ensure staff-child ratios are met. Responsible for the health, safety and nutrition of all children. Provide supervision and administrative support to teaching staff; train staff on-site; provide ongoing communication with school community, local, State and licensing agencies; and support families in the center. Responsible for meeting licensing regulations, agency policies and procedures. Providing leadership in creating developmentally appropriate curriculum directly connected to the needs and interests of the children for preschool children; ongoing development, implementation, evaluation, and oversight of the child-centered, play-based curriculum for all children; and managing center financial, marketing, and enrollment functions.
Education/Qualifications:
AA (or 60 units) which includes: 24 ECE/CD units with core courses
  • plus 6 administration units plus 2 adult supervision units.
Meet Title 5 and Title 22 requirements to qualify as a fully qualified site director including 3 units of administration. Infant/Toddler Site Supervisor must possess at least 3 semester units of infant care. Must possess and maintain a current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit (applies to title 5 programs). Must possess and maintain a current Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit (applies to title 5 programs). Must be CPR and First Aid certified and complete Infectious Disease Prevention Training. Must be able to lift 30 pounds chest high.
