Superintendent - Security & Low-Voltage Installation Stockton, CA — covering the greater Bay Area | Full-time, Exempt (Salaried)
Pay:
$85,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience About Calidad Services Calidad Services is a full-service security company serving commercial clients across Northern California — installation, monitoring, and physical security. Our installation crews run out of Stockton and cover projects throughout the Bay Area. The Role We're hiring a Superintendent to lead our installation crews in the field — running production, people, and hours across active job sites. You'll own crew scheduling, labor-hour accountability, and quality and safety on every project, working closely with our Director of Installation, Project Managers, and Technical Project Manager to keep jobs on schedule and on budget. This is primarily a leadership seat: day to day, you're managing the people who do the installs, not doing the installs yourself. You'll still pick up tools for hands-on training with the crew or when a job-site emergency calls for it — but running production, people, and hours is the job. What You'll Do Run the crew. Lead a Working Foreman and assigned install crews across multiple active job sites — set weekly priorities, check in, and course-correct. Own the labor budget. Sign off on labor hours at page-turn, track the burn against estimate, and flag any job before it runs over budget. Plan the manpower. Keep the crew allocation current in Monday.com, staff jobs with zero unplanned idle days, and bring a recovery plan for any understaffed project. Own quality and close-out. Own site-readiness and quality sign-off before programming/commissioning and before project close-out. Keep jobs on schedule. Coordinate scheduling with the Technical Project Manager and Project Managers to hit milestone and completion dates. Drive safety. Run daily PPE checks, identify hazards before every task, and use stop-work authority when needed. Escalate early. Flag risk and labor variance early, with an impact assessment and a recommendation — not just the problem. Stay in the system. Keep project status, KPIs, and action items current in Monday.com as the team's single source of truth. What You Bring 5+ years of experience in security systems or low-voltage installation, including field leadership or crew supervision. Ability to read and interpret construction prints/drawings and technical specifications. Experience writing and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information). Understanding of how to put together change orders. Understanding of parts and materials ordering for active jobs. Low-voltage/electrical license, or eligibility to obtain one. Valid driver's license and a clean motor vehicle record. Strong communication skills — comfortable flagging problems early and coordinating across office and field teams. Comfortable spending the majority of the week in the field and on site visits, with the remainder in planning, coordination, and training. Willingness to travel within the Bay Area to cover active job sites. Experience managing the logistics of projects outside the immediate service area — coordinating crew travel, lodging, and material delivery for out-of-area jobs. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights. Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions and on active construction/job sites.
