We're looking for an experienced Superintendent to run our jobsites from foundation to final walkthrough — keeping schedules tight, subs accountable, and clients confident. This isn't a production-builder role where you're running the same floor plan on repeat. Every home is custom. You need to read complex plans, manage client-driven changes without losing the schedule, and make good calls in the field without needing everything spelled out. What You'll Do Run day-to-day operations on active custom home builds from permit to certificate of occupancy Schedule, coordinate, and hold subcontractors accountable to the build timeline Read and enforce compliance with plans, specs, and California Title 24 / local AHJ requirements across Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties Communicate directly with clients on progress, selections, and schedule — professionally and proactively Manage material deliveries and site logistics to avoid costly delays Maintain safety and quality standards on every site Use JobTread (or similar construction management software) for scheduling, budgets, and documentation Be willing to travel occasionally for projects outside the immediate Central Valley area (over the hill) What You Bring 5+ years as a Superintendent on custom or high-end residential builds (not tract/production only) Established relationships with quality subcontractors in the Central Valley — you can bring trusted trades with you Working knowledge of CA building codes, permitting, and payment schedule compliance (B&P §7164) Strong scheduling discipline — you protect the critical path and know how to recover when a sub falls through Clear, professional communication with clients, trades, and ownership Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; open to occasional travel for out-of-area projects Preferred Experience with JobTread, Buildertrend, or similar construction management platforms CSLB familiarity and knowledge of local AHJ processes across Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced counties
