ABOUT THE COMPANY
Electric Vehicle Infrastructure [EVI] is a leading provider of EV Charger, Solar, and BESS infrastructure. Founded in 2018, we provide turnkey installation solutions for Level 2 and Level 3 DC fast-charging stations for EVSPs, utilities, fleet owners, and OEMs.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Construction Team Lead will work with, oversee, and lead field crews executing civil, laying pipe, conduit, and electrical work for medium to large-scale EV charging, solar, and BESS projects. This role is responsible for field leadership, work sequencing, and blueprint interpretation, ensuring all civil and electrical work — including site layout, demolition, excavation, concrete, and asphalt — is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Leadership & Execution
  • Lead and work with multiple crews across job sites; manage manpower, equipment, and work sequencing.
  • Review and interpret plans, specs, and structural drawings; ensure field is working off current plan set and as-builts are updated daily.
  • Direct and assist team of field construction operations: layout, demolition, equipment operation, excavation, backfill, forms/rebar, bollards, concrete, finishing, and asphalt.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction General Superintendents, other trades, and subcontractors to resolve issues and meet project goals. Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Enforce all safety policies, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and Stop Work Authority; lead daily huddles, JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis), and weekly toolbox talks.
  • Perform milestone QC (Quality Control) inspections per company Quality Control Program; maintain SWPPP (Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan), site cleanliness, and trench/excavation safety.
  • Ensure operators have valid training, equipment certifications, and all tools/equipment are tracked, inspected, and in safe working order. Project Controls & Administration
  • Provide daily reporting on labor, production, and project status; forecast manpower, materials, and equipment 7+ days in advance.
  • Work with General Superintendent to ensure EVI have proper manpower supporting upcoming projects.
  • Monitor labor hours vs. budget, approve timecards, meal/rest breaks, and cost coding.
  • Manage material orders, packing slips/receipts, equipment logs, vehicle maintenance, and project documentation.
  • Track all out-of-scope work [materials, equipment] and verify a signed Change Order exists before starting extra work.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5+ years leading construction of 10+ field construction employees.
  • Proven experience as a doer (working and lead by example) and leading multiple crews on active job sites.
  • Strong knowledge of civil and electrical scope: installing electrical, conduit, pipe, excavation, concrete, rebar, formwork, paving, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and specifications; working knowledge of local AHJ Building Code.
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, BusyBusy (field construction team timecard reporting system) or similar field reporting tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with clean record and ability to travel; ability to maintain company auto insurance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Variable outdoor environment; ability to work at heights up to 50', in trenches, and restricted spaces.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and work overhead.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for full shift.
  • Required to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times and operate hand/power tools and equipment.
  • Background check and drug screening required upon offer.
Pay:
$42.00 - $46.00 per hour
