Job Description
About the Role Russ Bassett is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation of specialized furniture and console systems used in mission-critical environments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in construction, commercial furniture installation, millwork, cabinetry, field installation, or related trades who is ready to take ownership of projects from shipment through installation and final customer sign-off. This is not strictly a desk-based project management position. The ideal candidate is comfortable being on job sites, coordinating installation crews and contractors, solving problems in the field, working directly with customers, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. What You'll Do Manage multiple installation projects from shipment through completion and customer sign-off. Develop and manage project schedules, job plans, logistics, installation timelines, and project documentation. Lead and coordinate in-house installation crews, subcontractors, third-party installers, and other project partners. Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the installation process. Read and interpret architectural, engineering, construction, and installation drawings. Coordinate with contractors, system integrators, customers, and internal teams to keep projects on schedule. Provide hands-on leadership and support during critical installation activities. Identify job-site issues, assess risks, and develop timely solutions. Prepare project status reports, punch lists, and other required documentation. Ensure safety, security, quality, and customer requirements are followed throughout each project. Manage approximately 2-3 projects simultaneously. Travel to project sites as required, including occasional weekends. What We're Looking For We are especially interested in candidates with experience in commercial construction, commercial furniture installation, office systems furniture, architectural millwork, cabinetry, fixtures, specialty installation, or similar project-based environments.
