Position Salary:
80-120K We are seeking an experienced Landscape Construction Project Manager to manage high-end residential landscape construction projects throughout the Denver metro area. This is a hands-on management position responsible for taking multiple projects from pre-construction through final completion. The Project Manager coordinates field crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, schedules, budgets, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely and to a high standard of quality. Our projects are detailed, custom residential landscapes requiring the ability to understand construction plans, anticipate field challenges, coordinate multiple trades, and make decisions quickly. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between the office and active jobsites and will take ownership of projects rather than simply overseeing individual tasks. This position serves as the primary connection between clients, landscape architects, company leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and field crews. Responsibilities Manage multiple high-end residential landscape construction projects simultaneously from pre-construction through completion. Review landscape architectural plans, construction details, estimates, contracts, specifications, and scopes of work before and throughout construction. Develop and maintain project schedules while coordinating multiple field crews across active projects. Plan and coordinate labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, subcontractors, and site access to keep projects moving efficiently. Supervise crew leaders and field employees, establish daily and weekly priorities, and hold teams accountable for productivity, workmanship, and safety. Monitor project budgets, estimated versus actual labor hours, material costs, subcontractor costs, change orders, and overall job profitability. Conduct frequent jobsite visits to monitor construction progress, verify work against plans, address quality issues, and identify upcoming needs. Identify construction conflicts and potential schedule or budget problems early and develop practical field solutions. Coordinate with landscape architects, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal staff throughout construction. Manage project changes, additional work, and change orders, including documenting scope and coordinating pricing and execution. Procure and coordinate project materials and equipment while maintaining appropriate lead times and minimizing unnecessary downtime. Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, field notes, purchase information, and project records. Assist with construction details, field measurements, takeoffs, and clarification of plans when required. Ensure jobsites remain safe, organized, professional, and appropriate for occupied high-end residential properties. Coordinate project punch lists, final walkthroughs, corrections, and project closeout. Assist with company-wide construction operations as needed, including construction equipment, fleet vehicles, vendors, and field logistics. Qualifications 5+ years of landscape construction experience , with significant experience in residential construction preferred. Previous experience managing landscape construction projects, field crews, or both. Strong working knowledge of landscape construction methods and sequencing, including hardscape, grading, drainage, irrigation, planting, concrete/masonry, and related site work. Ability to confidently read and interpret landscape architectural plans, construction drawings, elevations, details, and specifications. Experience with project scheduling, labor planning, material procurement, subcontractor coordination, and job costing. Ability to manage several active projects, crews, and competing priorities simultaneously. Strong understanding of construction budgets and the relationship between production, labor, purchasing, change orders, and profitability. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable making independent field decisions while knowing when issues require coordination with ownership, designers, or clients. Comfortable working extensively in the field as well as completing office-based project management responsibilities. Basic proficiency with project-management and construction software; ability to learn company systems quickly. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. What Success Looks Like A successful Project Manager in this position stays ahead of the work. Crews know where they are going and what they need, materials and subcontractors are coordinated before they become schedule problems, project costs are understood, clients and designers are kept informed, and field issues are addressed before they become expensive problems. The goal is not simply to keep projects moving—it is to deliver high-quality landscapes efficiently, profitably, and professionally.
