This role will oversee daily field operations, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, production, safety, and quality on multi-scope construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong superintendent experience with a general contractor, commercial construction background, and the ability to manage multiple trades in the field. Experience with federal/government projects is preferred but not required. Projects include a variety of scopes, with a strong emphasis on MEP and mechanical work, including chillers, water rerouting, large pipe, controls, decoupling, and related systems. Candidates must be U.S. citizens for site access and must be able to pass federal project background and drug screening requirements. Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations on active construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, trades, vendors, and field teams Manage project schedules, manpower, production, and daily site activities Support multiple scopes of work, including MEP and mechanical-heavy scopes Work closely with the Program Manager, project team, subcontractors, and client representatives Monitor work progress and help keep projects on schedule Identify field issues and coordinate solutions with the project team Review drawings, schedules, and project documents as needed Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and according to project requirements Maintain communication with subcontractors and internal leadership Support field documentation, daily reports, look-ahead schedules, and progress updates Enforce safety standards and site procedures Help coordinate inspections, material deliveries, and project logistics Support quality control and ensure work meets specifications Qualifications 5+ years of construction superintendent or field leadership experience preferred Commercial construction experience required General contractor experience strongly preferred MEP, mechanical, piping, controls, or infrastructure-related project experience is a plus Federal or government project experience is preferred, but not required Strong subcontractor coordination and scheduling experience Ability to manage field production and multiple trades Strong understanding of construction drawings, schedules, and project documentation Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Safety-focused and quality-driven Must be a U.S. citizen for site access Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening No felony background due to federal project requirements Preferred Experience Federal, government, institutional, campus, lab, or secure-site construction experience Experience with NIST, military, VA, federal, or similar regulated project environments Mechanical-heavy project experience Chillers, water rerouting, large pipe, controls, decoupling, or MEP coordination experience Experience managing both self-performed and subcontracted scopes Compensation & Benefits $100,000-$110,000+/year Medical benefits FSA $400 monthly vehicle reimbursement Gas card 3 weeks PTO to start 10 paid holidays Additional PTO earned every other year Option to cash out half of accrued PTO annually 401(k) with 4% match Additional benefits offered What We're Looking For We are looking for a strong field leader who can keep work moving, coordinate subcontractors, communicate clearly, and manage daily construction operations on active federal/commercial projects.
