Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and drive construction projects from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and ensures that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Apex Contracting's quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all phases meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Planning & Scheduling:
Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and manage resources effectively.
Financial Oversight:
Monitor budgets, review cost reports, and identify opportunities for savings while maintaining quality.
Client Relations:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong partnerships through clear communication and problem-solving.
Team Collaboration:
Lead and mentor field staff, superintendents, and subcontractors to achieve project goals.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure strict adherence to all building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate project records, RFI logs, submittals, and change orders. Qualifications Must be able to travel or located in Los Angeles, California. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). 5+ years of proven experience in construction project management (commercial or multifamily projects a plus). Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software, and contract administration. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines under pressure. Certification or equivalent safety training is a plus.
