Internship Overview You won't be running coffee orders or shuffling paperwork this summer. At Fervo, interns are handed something real: a project of your own, scoped with your manager on day one and yours to drive for the full 12 weeks. You'll work side-by-side with the teams building the next generation of geothermal energy, tackling problems that genuinely move the business forward. At the end of the summer, you'll present your work to our executive leadership team, department leads, and fellow interns, sharing real results with a real audience. This is a real seat at the table — and a real shot at what comes next. Position Description Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale. Our flagship Cape Station project in Milford, Utah is one of the largest next-generation geothermal developments in the world, and our Houston headquarters houses the engineering, commercial, and corporate teams driving Fervo's growth. As a Construction Intern, you'll spend the summer on-site at Cape Station, working alongside the team managing day-to-day construction of an active geothermal facility, real fieldwork, real contractors, and real deadlines, not a desk job watching from the sidelines.
Requirements:
Responsibilities Support day-to-day construction management activities on-site Assist with QA/QC documentation and inspections Participate in safety walk-throughs and support HSE compliance efforts Coordinate with contractors and track material deliveries Help maintain project schedules and progress tracking Required Qualifications Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree — we're building a pipeline toward full-time offers Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges Comfort working on an active construction site (PPE required) Preferred Qualifications Candidates based in or near Milford, UT strongly preferred Interest in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
