Primary Role Habitat for Humanity builds homes side-by-side with our community, tackling housing insecurity and providing families with opportunities for homeownership. The Construction Site Manager works closely with the Construction Superintendent to ensure the affiliate maintains its ability to carry out the mission, as defined in our strategic plan, and is a viable source of affordable mortgages in eastern Connecticut. This position is responsible for managing construction projects at a specific site.

QUALIFICATIONS
: 3-5 years of experience in residential construction and/or renovations and repairs. Technically competent with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet-based and/or project management software. Ability to read and interpret construction plans. Excellent leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills. CPR/AED certification a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES
: Under the direction of the Construction Superintendent, the Construction Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing Habitat build projects to completion including managing resources, schedules, financials and adherence to quality and safety throughout the build. The Site Director runs the project's field operations on a day-to-day basis, verifying that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost, while building valuable relationships with volunteers, homeowners, and sponsors.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
: 1) Direct the work of both skilled and unskilled volunteers following the specific house plans. 2) Responsible for overall job site safety, ensuring that volunteers and subcontractors are adequately briefed on safe work practices and the sites are frequently monitored for safe work practices. Also responsible for all necessary job site safety paperwork, supplies and training. 3) Responsible for the Habitat experience of volunteers, community partners, and sponsors. 4) Review plans, specifications, and materials to coordinate the construction of quality homes in accordance with the standards of the affiliate. 5) Follow the budget and build schedule set by the Construction Superintendent. 6) Ensure that all checklists for energy star and other applicable organizations are implemented and kept up to date throughout the building process. 7) Ensures the proper materials, tools, and safety equipment necessary for the day's work schedule is on site at the start of the workday. 8) Assist with the maintenance of all buildings and facilities owned or rented by

) Assist with home warranty repairs as assigned. 10) Assist with the maintenance of the organization' tool, equipment and construction vehicles. 11) Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the jobsite. 12) Use an affiliate-owned vehicle, as assigned by the Construction Superintendent or their designee, for all work-related travel and for the transportation of work-related materials, equipment, and supplies, and in accordance with affiliate policies and procedures. 13) Other duties as assigned.

Requires the physical ability to sit, climb a ladder, walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time. While the offices are smoke-free and temperature controlled, much of the work may be in non-temperature-controlled conditions, including outdoors, year-round. The position requires people to be able to safely lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on an occasional basis and/or to stand up to 6 hours.
