Superintendent - New Ground-Up Multifamily Construction (Weston & New Haven, CT) A well-established, national real estate construction firm with a 30+ year track record of delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use developments is seeking two experienced Superintendents to lead field operations on new ground-up multifamily construction in Weston and New Haven, Connecticut. One Superintendent will be based on each project. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who thrives on ground-up multifamily and/or high-rise development to join a highly respected organization known for its collaborative culture, quality craftsmanship, and long-term career growth.
The Projects Weston, CT:
A new-construction, market-rate residential development within an established mixed-use retail campus. The project will deliver 168 apartment units across two four-story, wood-framed buildings and structured on-site parking.
New Haven, CT:
A ground-up, mixed-income, mixed-use residential redevelopment delivered in two phases. Phase one includes wood-over-podium construction with a cast-in-place parking garage. Responsibilities Oversee all on-site field operations, including scheduling, sequencing, and day-to-day supervision of trade partners. Enforce jobsite safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on budget, schedule, and quality control. Manage subcontractor performance, site logistics, and material deliveries. Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work conforms to plans, specifications, and code requirements. Lead daily and weekly jobsite meetings with trade partners. Maintain accurate daily logs, progress documentation, and punch list tracking through closeout. Mentor assistant superintendents and field staff. Qualifications Minimum 7-10+ years of construction superintendent experience on ground-up projects. Multifamily and/or mid to high-rise construction experience required. Strong knowledge of wood-frame and podium construction methods. OSHA 30 certification preferred. Proficiency with scheduling and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work on-site full-time in Weston or New Haven, CT. Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $170,000, commensurate with experience. Performance-based annual bonus.
