Depending on experience and qualifications. Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Owner's Representative specializing in Workplace and Construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between project stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and commercial construction initiatives. Your expertise in construction management, project scheduling, and regulatory compliance will drive projects forward with precision and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead large-scale projects from inception through completion, ensuring quality standards are met while adhering to budget and schedule parameters. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, design coordination, procurement, and execution, ensuring alignment with project goals and regulatory standards. Manage project schedules using advanced project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, or similar tools to maintain momentum and meet deadlines. Coordinate construction activities on-site by supervising contractors, managing teams, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and construction regulations. Review and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and contracts to facilitate accurate execution of work. Monitor project budgets through detailed cost management practices utilizing HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools; track expenditures and forecast future costs. Ensure compliance with all relevant construction codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle. Lead project meetings, prepare progress reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on schedule status, budget health, and risk mitigation strategies. Utilize construction management software such as Prolog or Primavera P6 for scheduling coordination, document control, and project tracking. Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards are maintained; address issues promptly to minimize delays or rework. Manage contract administration processes including review of change orders, claims resolution, and ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled. Qualifications Proven experience in managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects with a strong understanding of civil 3D schematics and construction plans. Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling techniques using Primavera P6 or similar project scheduling tools; ability to develop detailed schedules that align with project milestones. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid along with strong cost management skills. Familiarity with construction regulatory compliance requirements across various jurisdictions; experience reading blueprints and schematics accurately. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively on-site; excellent leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. Strong background in construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Project Management tools like Prolog. Construction site experience with a focus on safety protocols and quality assurance practices. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement; ability to coordinate multiple disciplines seamlessly. Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), OSHA safety certifications preferred but not mandatory. Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Significant experience in Owner Representation, Construction Management, Workplace Solutions, Interior Design, Space Planning, or related project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting federal government facilities and/or federal workplace projects.
  • Strong experience with FF&E planning, specifications, procurement, installation, and project coordination.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate architectural, construction, engineering, and furniture drawings.
  • Experience coordinating multiple contractors, consultants, vendors, and client stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project schedules, budgets, change management, punch lists, and closeout.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout the Baltimore, Washington, DC, and Delaware corridor. Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred.
  • Candidates who do not currently hold a PMP must be willing to obtain the certification within 12 months of employment.
  • NCIDQ, CCM, LEED, FMP, CFM, or similar professional credentials are a plus.
The Candidate We Want You are not simply managing a construction schedule. You understand how design, construction, furniture, technology, workplace operations, and people come together to create a successful workplace. You are comfortable walking a construction site in the morning, reviewing a Revit or AutoCAD drawing, coordinating an FF&E issue with a dealer, leading a client meeting, challenging a contractor on schedule or quality, and providing leadership with a concise project update. Most importantly, you understand the role of an Owner's Representative. You anticipate problems, ask the right questions, protect the client's interests, hold project partners accountable, and drive the project toward successful completion. Federal workplace and FF&E experience will be given strong preference.
Pay:
$52.00 - $67.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
