A Construction Manager manages construction projects from project planning through completion. Manages project budget and schedule; works closely with architects, engineers, trades workers, and clients; supervises construction on site and manages subcontractors; coordinates permits and regulatory compliance as needed for projects.
Lifestyle Design Homes and Lifestyle Design Commercial are seeking a motivated, organized Assistant Project Manager to support our growing residential and commercial construction operations in Southwest Florida. This position is ideal for someone with construction experience who wants to develop into a full Project Manager role. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with our operations and field teams to keep projects organized, on schedule, within budget, and moving efficiently from permitting through completion. Key Responsibilities Assist with managing residential and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout Maintain project schedules in Buildertrend and coordinate upcoming activities Schedule county, city, engineering, and private-provider inspections Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, material deliveries, and field activities Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, proposals, and change orders Track permits, RFIs, submittals, selections, purchase orders, and project documentation Visit jobsites to monitor progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance Identify potential delays or conflicts and communicate them promptly Assist with project budgets, cost tracking, invoices, and subcontractor payment documentation Document jobsite progress through photographs, daily reports, and meeting notes Support project turnover, punch-list completion, and warranty coordination Maintain professional communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal team members Qualifications At least two years of construction, project coordination, or field experience preferred Residential or commercial construction experience strongly preferred Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills Comfortable holding subcontractors and vendors accountable Able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities Proficient with Microsoft Office; Buildertrend or Procore experience is a plus Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required What We're Looking For We want someone who takes ownership, communicates proactively, pays attention to details, and follows assignments through to completion.
