Construction Project Manager GEC Trucking & Construction Inc Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Federal construction safety regulations Occupational Safety And Health Administration Outreach Training Program 30-Hour Implementation of OSHA safety standards Full Job Description GEC Trucking & Construction, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to work in the Jacksonville, FL and surrounding areas. The company provides general construction primarily for the Municipal, DOT and Federal construction projects. We offer competitive salaries and great benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and understand the project cost, estimate and scope of work Update schedule throughout project Conduct weekly/biweekly job site owner and subcontractor meetings Prepare job meeting minutes and distribute to all subcontractors and office administrator Assist in weekly safety meetings with GEC employees and assure that subcontractors have a safety program in place Assist superintendents, foremen and subcontractors with questions on layout, purchase of materials, equipment and clarification of scope of work Make job site visits as required to ensure projects are meeting quality of work and timeframe Assist the owner and architect with planning, commission meetings, zoning and building permits Coordinate all the proper registrations and paperwork required for building permits and city registration prior to any work begins Verify that the SubContractors have all necessary registration and paperwork in place before work can begin Create subcontracts and purchase orders Maintain and prepare Change Orders as they occur Check on field personnel to verify that daily log reports are completed Assist with premobilization activates (Before you dig, layouts, etc.) Set up Temporary Utilities with the utility companies. Fill out owner's data sheet and Job Cost Sheet Follow company policies and procedures and assists with OSHA compliance and onsite safety enforcement Other duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
A bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of experience as a project manager required Ability to read and interpret blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, shop drawings, procedure manuals and safety rules Must have strong communication and superior organizational skills Attention to detail and multitasking ability Must have OSHA 30 certification at minimum Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook MS Project, Adobe Pro Experienced in Procore, Primavera P6 and other construction software preferred Ability and willingness to travel to various locations Must be a US Citizen Must be able to pass company's background check and drug test DoD security process for base access Must have a clean driving record
