Vertical Earth is seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil and site development projects. This role is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, coordinating crews and subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and promoting a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate has a proven background managing site development projects including clearing, earthwork, utilities, storm drainage, grading, roadway improvements, paving preparation, and project closeout activities. Responsibilities Manage daily field operations for civil and site development projects. Lead and supervise foremen, operators, laborers, and subcontractors. Coordinate project activities to maintain schedules and productivity goals. Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and company standards. Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Inspectors, and Owners. Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Monitor project progress, manpower needs, equipment utilization, and production. Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget. Maintain quality control throughout all phases of construction. Prepare daily reports and communicate project status to management. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a Superintendent managing civil/site development projects. Strong knowledge of earthwork, grading, underground utilities, drainage systems, and roadway construction. Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications. Experience coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with project documentation and reporting. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. OSHA certification preferred.
