The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for helping to oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. This individual needs to have an excellent understanding of the current construction market and be able to lead teams during all aspects of new construction projects from start to finish. The Assistant Superintendent must have a solid knowledge base in all aspects of construction, including building materials, sequencing, equipment and machinery. Responsibilities :

Works with site superintendent and lead project manager Consistently collaborates with project team discussing potential work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. Review, recall & comprehend contract documents Ensure that construction operations are carried out in a safe manner, meets Cal-OSHA requirements and record-keeping requirements Inspect and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and procedures Maintain a good working relationship with subcontractors and vendors. Collect and analyze information for the project Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team Manage subcontractors sequence and schedules Consistent and clear communication with construction team and inspectors Ensure jobsite safety and report any safety concerns or issues Reviews and understands the contract and subcontracts, including understanding risk and risk mitigation plans Maintains project administration correspondence, and complies with documentation requirements Required Qualifications Work experience of either three or more years as an Assistant Superintendent or five or more years as a Carpenter Foreman in commercial construction Proficient in Procore and Bluebeam Must be willing to travel if necessary Active Driver License and clean driving record Must have and maintain personal automobile insurance Proficient with construction management software Procore Deadline and detail-oriented Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and safety regulations Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings Excellent leadership and organizational skills and personal integrity Exceptional verbal and written communication skills OSHA 30 Must be able to walk job sites daily, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain Ability to work extended hours to meet project deadlines Benefits Standard Construction offers comprehensive insurance including medical, dental, and vision insurance, company-paid life insurance, 401k, Paid Time Off, annual bonus, vehicle allowance, and more.
