CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGER
Ocala, FL 34474 Full-Time Monday-Friday $95,000 - $115,000 per year + Performance Bonus

We deliver retail remodels, large-format conversions / buildouts and light industrial projects for national brands across the country. We are looking for a Construction Operations Manager to own the engine room of that business.

This is not a seat-warming role. You will run field execution across a live national portfolio as well as local work and trades— and you will have the authority to make the calls that make it work.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN RTS
is seeking a Construction Operations Manager to lead the operational systems, project controls, construction administration, and workflow management functions that support our growing development and construction portfolio across all departments spanning electrical, plumbing and general contractor. This position is ideal for experienced Construction Managers, Project Controls Managers, Construction Project Managers, Construction Operations Leaders, or Construction Administration professionals looking to make a significant impact within a growing organization The Construction Operations Manager serves as the operational backbone of the construction team, ensuring projects move efficiently from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining accountability, consistency, and compliance across all active projects Construction Operations & Project Controls Oversee project controls, construction administration, and operational processes across multiple active projects Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs, permits, and closeout activities Develop and maintain project tracking systems, dashboards, and reporting tools Ensure consistency and accuracy across all project records and documentation Identify process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce project risk Monitor project milestones and support project teams in achieving schedule objectives Team Leadership Supervise Project Coordinators and Assistant Project Managers Establish performance expectations and accountability standards Train team members on systems, workflows, and best practices Develop scalable operational procedures that support company growth Serve as primary administrator for Procore and other project management platforms Create and maintain standard operating procedures Implement operational improvements and technology solutions Maintain document control standards and reporting processes Contract & Financial Administration Review contracts, change orders, invoices, and supporting documentation Assist with budget tracking and project reporting Coordinate approvals and documentation workflows Support leadership in identifying project risks and operational issues
WHAT YOU BRING
Required 5+ years of construction operations, project management, experience in commercial construction. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) Demonstrated ability to run multiple concurrent projects and coordinate field crews. Strong command of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work. Experience managing contracts, project documentation, and construction workflows Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Direct, organized communicator who can hold a subcontractor accountable and brief a national client in the same afternoon. Preferred Experience in retail tenant improvement, remodels, or national rollout programs. Background with a self-perform multi-trade contractor. Experience managing traveling field crews across multiple states. Familiarity with national retail, self-storage, or franchise account standards and store-open / night-shift phasing. OSHA 30, and any trade license or certification. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or equivalent field experience.
