Job Description This position requires extensive Plumbing/Mechanical/HVAC construction experience as a Superintendent and General Superintendent. Qualified candidates must demonstrate proficiency and understanding of the management of jobsite and personnel logistics, construction operations, conflict resolution, schedules, and evaluation of performance/skills. Must possess competency Construction OSHA Standards and Mechanical QA/QC. Knowledge of PlanGrid, Microsoft Office Programs, MS Project and Smartsheet preferred. Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction. Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and employee development. Strong technical and communication skills are critical.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  •  Manage field operations work by employee skill sets, tools, equipment, personnel, and vehicles) direct field crew staff for successful project progress through completion
  •  Recruit, hire, train, discipline, evaluate and make changes in status of all field employees in accordance with company policies and procedures
  •  Responsible for ensuring that projects are turned over as scheduled thus enabling the company to achieve its production and profit objectives.
  •  Supervise Quantum Field Superintendents, Foremen and Direct Laborers to follow Installation, Safety, Quality, and General requirements or procedures established by Quantum.
  •  Establish site specific safety orientation for each project.
  •  Will manage portions of the Human Resource duties such as employee reviews, wages, and disciplinary/rewards systems for individual field personnel.
  •  Will work side by side with Project Managers to maintain construction schedules and needs on the jobsite and ensure high communication.
  •  Work with Project Management and Superintendents to resolve site related issues.
  •  Develop correction, improvement, and growth strategies and plan for employees to advance along their career path and performance in the field.
  •  Work with the direct report to establish new policy, procedures and employee training requirements.
  •  Monitor field staff to ensure that all policy and procedures are in place and being utilized.
  •  Onboard field staff in coordination with HR and the Director.
  •  Provide updates on goals and metrics to senior level management.
  •  Assist Estimating and Project Management to resolve issues related to viability and capability of prospective project opportunities.
  •  Travel to job sites is required to perform above tasks.

  •  10+ years of solid hands-on experience as a Superintendent with a Mechanical Contractor or General Contractor.
  •  5+ years of experience as a General Superintendent managing other superintendents.
  •  Degree in Construction Sciences or Engineering preferred but not required.
  •  Extensive knowledge of state and local Building Codes.
  •  OSHA 30 minimum certification
  •  Any sum or combination of licenses or certifications in the competency of mechanical trade work including but not limited to: Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, Rigging, Millwright, and Fabrication
  •  Knowledge of Project Management Software.
