Job Description
Job Summary Performance Personnel Services (PPS) is seeking an experienced Plumbing / Mechanical Superintendent to oversee commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong field leadership experience and an extensive background in commercial plumbing and mechanical systems. This position is responsible for coordinating field crews, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to successfully complete projects. We are looking for a hands-on leader who can effectively manage crews while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and scheduling . Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate plumbing and mechanical crews on active construction projects. Plan daily and weekly manpower, materials, equipment, and work activities. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, mechanical drawings, and project plans. Oversee installation of commercial plumbing and mechanical systems from underground and rough-in through trim-out and final completion. Coordinate work with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades. Monitor project schedules and ensure work is completed according to established deadlines. Track labor productivity and identify potential scheduling or manpower issues. Ensure materials and equipment are available when needed to prevent project delays. Conduct quality-control inspections and ensure installations meet project specifications and applicable codes. Enforce company and jobsite safety policies and procedures. Lead jobsite meetings, toolbox talks, and daily crew planning. Troubleshoot field issues and provide solutions to keep projects moving. Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, manpower reports, and progress updates. Assist with employee training, development, and performance management. Maintain professional relationships with clients, general contractors, and project management teams. Qualifications 5+ years of commercial plumbing/mechanical construction experience preferred. Previous experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Mechanical Superintendent, Plumbing Superintendent, or similar leadership position . Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing and mechanical construction. Experience managing multiple crews and large construction projects. Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and manpower planning. Understanding of applicable plumbing/mechanical codes and jobsite safety requirements. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass required background and drug screening.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
