Responsibilities Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans and specifications Coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Procore to meet deadlines and optimize resource allocation Manage and direct teams of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and guide on-site execution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations including OSHA standards; implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and adherence to project specifications Monitor project budgets, track costs using HeavyBid or similar tools, and manage contracts to ensure financial objectives are met or exceeded
Header:
Qualifications Proven experience supervising commercial or heavy civil construction projects with a strong background in construction management Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Prolog; familiarity with construction management software is essential Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints accurately Strong understanding of construction safety regulations including OSHA requirements; experience managing safety programs on-site Skilled in managing teams effectively, including crew management, supervision of subcontractors, and fostering teamwork in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination, client interactions, and managing contracts effectively Familiarity with construction regulations related to federal projects or pipeline infrastructure is a plus; experience supervising large-scale projects preferred Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical inspections when necessary This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to lead impactful projects while honing their managerial skills.
