Edwards Moving & Rigging Role Overview As a Project Superintendent, you will oversee the planning, organization, and execution of rigging and transportation operations. You are tasked with managing project workflows to ensure high levels of productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability while maintaining a strong focus on safety. You must be adept at interpreting project requirements, applying technical rigging expertise, and verifying that all materials and labor align with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive project scopes and create detailed schedules to meet specific project demands. Oversee the daily operational execution of assigned project tasks. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to plan equipment mobilization and crew scheduling. Determine equipment needs for each site and work with dispatch to ensure timely delivery. Foster consistent communication between the office and the client to ensure seamless project planning and execution. Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by enforcing Job Hazard Analysis protocols and safety training standards. Act as the primary liaison for the crew, coordinating rigging tasks with site personnel and client representatives. Mentor team members to help improve the overall skill set and operational efficiency of the crew. Monitor site progress to ensure all work adheres to the established project scope and quality standards. Ensure that all project records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly archived. Support the financial health of projects by implementing effective operational controls and oversight. Required Qualifications At least 10 years of superintendent experience, ideally within heavy rigging, crane operations, construction, or heavy trucking. Prior experience operating Goldhofer or comparable hydraulic platform trailers is preferred. Familiarity with jack-and-slide systems, strand jacks, unified jacking systems, and gantry systems is considered an asset. Proven ability to lead effectively while maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues. Willingness to travel as required by project needs. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail. Help optimize the use of manpower and equipment by effectively assigning daily tasks and labor resources. Ensure projects stay on track by facilitating the efficient completion of daily objectives. Support consistent project outcomes by establishing and upholding rigorous work standards, safety procedures, and operational protocols. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Work is performed outdoors and is subject to varying weather conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
