07th October, 2026 About the role Be the welcoming face of our Veteran & Family Wellbeing Centre in Townsville. You'll connect current and ex-serving Defence members and their families to centre services and outreach programs. You'll also run social connection activities and promote them to the community. Reporting to the Centre Manager, you'll work in a multidisciplinary team. What you'll do Provide trauma-informed, respectful support to veterans, families and community members Plan, run and evaluate social connection and wellbeing activities and events Promote services through social media, newsletters and posters Coordinate bookings and records, and support reporting and WHS compliance Build strong relationships with volunteers, Sub Branches and the wider team Skills & experience ADF service or a close connection, or experience working with current or ex-service personnel Event coordination experience, from logistics through to post-event review Confident with social media and Microsoft Office Excellent communication and relationship skills, with empathy for people in vulnerable circumstances Queensland "C" class licence and a Working with Children Card (or willingness to obtain one); able to lift 10-12 kg Why work at RSL Queensland?
