Job Description

Construction Superintendent — Active Hospital Environment Experience Required Stuart, FL | Full-Time | $100,000-$120,000 + benefits Cooper Construction & Development is expanding fast, and we're building out our field leadership team to match. We're not the biggest name in South Florida commercial construction yet — but we're growing quickly, taking on more work, and building the kind of team that gets noticed. If you want in on that trajectory early, this is the seat. We're looking for a seasoned Superintendent who knows what it actually takes to run construction inside a live, occupied hospital environment. This isn't "healthcare experience" in the general sense — we need someone who has personally managed ICRA protocols, interim life safety measures, infection control barriers, and the day-to-day discipline of building around active patient care without disrupting it. If you've done it, you know exactly what we're talking about. If you haven't, this role isn't the right fit.
What you bring:
Proven track record running projects inside active/occupied hospital or medical facility environments Deep working knowledge of ICRA, ILSM, and infection control compliance in a live clinical setting Strong subcontractor management, scheduling, and field leadership skills Based in South Florida — this role is not offering relocation, and we're looking for someone already established in the local market The kind of ownership mentality that thrives with a company still writing its next chapter, not coasting on its last one What we offer: $100,000-$120,000 base, commensurate with experience A seat at the table with a GC that's scaling and wants leaders who grow with it Autonomy to run your project like it's yours — because it is We're moving quickly to fill this position. If you're the superintendent who's tired of being one of many at a big firm and wants real impact at a company on the way up, let's talk.
