Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and values-driven Construction Superintendent to lead and develop our underground utility crews in the field. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, holding Foremen accountable for performance and safety, and collaborating with leadership to build a thriving, high-performance culture. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day field operations for underground utility projects (water, sewer, stormwater). Supervise and mentor Foremen, ensuring accountability for production, safety, and crew performance. Provide coaching and on-the-job training to Foremen and crew members. Collaborate with leadership to create an environment where employees are supported and set up to succeed. Monitor job schedules, productivity, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications. Ensure job sites are safe and operate in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and utility companies. Maintain daily field reports and provide regular updates to the Director of Operations. Lead with humility, professionalism, and a commitment to Dallas 1's mission. Qualifications 5+ years of underground utility construction experience (water, sewer, storm systems), including 2+ years in a supervisory role Proven leadership skills with the ability to hold others accountable while encouraging growth Skilled in reading blueprints, civil plans, and specifications Experience managing production, job costs, and field logistics Familiarity with safety protocols and field documentation requirements OSHA 30 Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills A desire to work for a faith-based company that values people and purpose Why Join Dallas 1 Construction & Development? Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably in underground utility projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP) are a plus.
