General Superintendent Job Description The General Superintendent provides overall field leadership for healthcare interior construction projects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role oversees multiple project superintendents while establishing consistent field execution standards across all jobsites. The General Superintendent plays a key role in preconstruction planning, including constructability reviews, logistics planning, and schedule development. They collaborate closely with project management, preconstruction, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution—especially within active and occupied healthcare environments. A core responsibility of this role is mentoring and developing superintendents, strengthening leadership capabilities, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills. As the organization grows, this individual may also act as the Superintendent on large or complex projects and participate as part of the company's leadership group. Responsibilities Provide overall field leadership for healthcare interior construction projects. Play a key role in preconstruction planning, including constructability reviews, logistics planning, and schedule development. Collaborate closely with project management, preconstruction, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless execution. Mentor and develop superintendents, strengthening leadership capabilities, technical proficiency, and problem-solving skills. Act as Superintendent on large or complex projects and participate in the company's leadership group. Essential Skills Experience in healthcare construction. Hands-on experience with trades and tool skills. Experience leading inspections and coordinating with AHJs and healthcare authorities. Ability to identify constructability risks early and proactively resolve field challenges. Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills. Comfort working in fast-paced, high-compliance environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Willingness to adopt and train teams on new field and project management technologies. Work Environment This is an onsite field leadership role across multiple healthcare interior construction projects. Work is performed in active and occupied healthcare facilities, involving a combination of jobsite, preconstruction meetings, and leadership collaboration. The environment is fast-paced and high-accountability, with strong safety and quality expectations. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of West Palm Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
