Civil Construction SuperintendentLocation:
Winter Park, FL (Greater Orlando Area)
Compensation:
$110,000 to $150,000+ Base Salary (Experience Dependent)About the OpportunityOur client is a well-established civil construction contractor serving Central Florida. The company specializes in site development, excavation, grading, underground utilities, concrete construction, paving, and infrastructure improvement projects. Known for quality workmanship and strong client relationships, the organization partners with developers, municipalities, general contractors, and private owners throughout the region.

Due to continued growth, the company is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure the successful delivery of site development and heavy civil construction projects. This individual will be responsible for coordinating crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project activities while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives.

ResponsibilitiesManage daily field operations for civil construction and site development projectsSupervise field crews, subcontractors, and equipment resourcesCoordinate excavation, grading, utility installation, concrete, and paving activitiesEnsure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specificationsMaintain project schedules and identify solutions to prevent delaysReview construction drawings, specifications, and project documentsConduct jobsite inspections and quality control reviewsCoordinate materials, equipment, and workforce planningLead safety meetings and enforce safety standardsCommunicate project progress with project managers and company leadershipMaintain daily reports and project documentationResolve field issues and unforeseen project challengesSupport project closeout activities and final inspectionsQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of Superintendent experience in civil construction, site development, or heavy civil constructionExperience managing earthwork, excavation, grading, and underground utility projectsStrong understanding of construction means and methodsAbility to read and interpret civil plans and specificationsExperience managing subcontractors and field personnelKnowledge of OSHA safety requirements and industry best practicesStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to maintain schedules and coordinate multiple project activitiesProficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management softwareValid driver's licensePreferred ExperienceSite development construction experienceUnderground utility experience including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systemsRoadway and paving project experienceMunicipal and commercial development project experienceOSHA 30 certificationExperience managing large scale civil construction projectsBenefitsFull Benefits Included
