Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Construction Project Manager to support the planning and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through completion. This role focuses on maintaining structure across multiple active projects, supporting scheduling, tracking progress, and assisting with vendor and subcontractor coordination. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates effectively, and can anticipate needs before they become problems. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination & Support Assist Project Managers in coordinating projects from pre-construction through closeout Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure progress stays on schedule Support day-to-day project activities by maintaining organization and follow-through Documentation & Reporting Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and project files Ensure all project records are accurate, current, and easily accessible Assist in preparing project reports, updates, and internal tracking materials Communication & Stakeholder Support Support communication between Project Managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams Help coordinate meetings, track action items, and follow up on outstanding tasks Ensure key updates and decisions are documented and shared appropriately Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Help track subcontractor progress and ensure alignment with project timelines Support communication to ensure expectations, schedules, and deliverables are clearly understood Scheduling & Task Management Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules Track deadlines, flag delays, and escalate issues to Project Managers as needed Help ensure tasks are completed on time and dependencies are managed effectively Financial & Administrative Support Assist with tracking project costs, invoices, and budget-related documentation Support review of invoices, change orders, and financial records for accuracy Help maintain organized financial tracking across active projects Operational Support & Process Consistency Help bring consistency to project workflows, documentation, and communication practices Support the use of project management tools and systems to improve efficiency Assist in identifying process gaps and opportunities for improved organization Quality & Closeout Support Assist with punch lists, final documentation, and project closeout processes Help ensure all required documentation is completed and submitted at project completion Support efforts to ensure client satisfaction at the end of each project Qualifications Required 2-4 years of experience in commercial construction, project coordination, or a related field. Emphasis on interior alterations. Strong understanding of construction processes and project workflows Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal) Proficiency with project management or organizational tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Excel, or similar) Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field Familiarity with construction documents, contracts, and permitting processes Exposure to budgeting, invoicing, or cost tracking processes Experience working in a high-volume or rapidly growing environment Interest in growing into a Project Manager role over time Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Company fuel card Vehicle, cell phone, and insurance stipends Performance-based incentives Opportunities for growth within the company
