Part-Time, Temporary through June 30, 2027, continuation dependent on funding and organizational needs
Schedule:
Up to 32 hours per week, with a preference for a consistent Tuesday-Friday schedule during school hours; a 3-day schedule may be considered based on program needs and candidate availability
Salary:
$21.39/hour, plus benefits including PTO, dental, vision, and SEP IRA at 6% of salary

This position is located in the Clarke County School District; however, you are an employee of Family Connection-Communities in Schools of Athens. Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Athens seeks a qualified applicant for a Part-Time Communities In Schools Site Coordinator. The Site Coordinator will work collaboratively with school personnel, the full-time Site Coordinator, FC-CIS staff, families, and community partners to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. The Part-Time Site Coordinator will focus primarily on direct student and family support, relationship building, small-group and school-wide programming, family engagement, and connecting students and families with appropriate school and community resources.
Responsibilities:
  • In partnership with key stakeholders, coordinate creation, implementation, and monitoring of annual site operations plan, incorporating needs assessment, case management, service delivery, data tracking, and evaluation/reporting.
  • Ensure all required data collection is entered into data management systems while meeting data collection timelines outlined in the Site Coordinator Scope of Work.
  • Provide written reports as required.
  • Work with school team to identify students who need services.
  • Provide tiered services to students and their families to identify and eliminate barriers to their academic/school success. Coordinate whole school, small group, and individual student activities.
  • Host a whole school event at least quarterly in alignment with the School Support Plan.
  • Ensure each student on caseload receives small group and individual supports at a minimum once per month.
  • Ensure each student on caseload receives a formal student check-in at least once per month.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of services in achieving school-wide and individual student goals. Monitor and adjust services as needed to maximize effectiveness and impact.
  • Secure community support and partnerships to meet school and student needs as identified in the School Support Plan.
  • Support and participate in school orientations, open houses, school support team meetings, and parent events.
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for school site.
  • Communicate closely with the Program Director at all times.
  • Participate in all required meetings and trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Social Work or related field preferred; relevant experience may be substituted
  • Experience working directly with youth
  • Excellent writing, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of the Athens community, the population to be served, and the community systems that serve youth and families, including schools, health systems, human services, and others
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media
  • Valid driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and proof of adequate auto insurance coverage
  • Ability both to work independently and to work in a team
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency preferred, but not required

This position is primarily performed during school hours and requires a consistent weekly presence at the school. Tuesday-Friday is preferred to support participation in school-based meetings, events, student and family activities, and other program needs. A 3-day schedule may be considered based on program needs and candidate availability. Occasional flexibility outside regular school hours may be required for school events, family engagement activities, and other program needs. This position is currently funded through June 30, 2027. Continuation beyond that date may be possible based on available funding, program needs, and organizational needs and is not guaranteed.
Pay:
