Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.

Job Description

David Boland, Inc., a general contractor located on Florida's Space Coast, has over 50 years of proven success in constructing Federal Government projects nationwide. Our team pursues diverse opportunities across aviation and aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare, and education in the $10M to $75M range, all in support of our country. An opportunity currently exists for an experienced Project Manager to lead the 10MW Generation Plant with Microgrid Controls project at Fort Stewart, Georgia. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Leading all field operations and construction activities, providing leadership to the project staff, and making day-to-day decisions that are required to ensure a successful, safe, and timely project delivery and completion.
  • Interacting with client representatives.
  • Ensuring work is performed and milestones are achieved in accordance with the Project Schedule and the effective use of short-interval schedules and other scheduling tools.
  • Ensuring that subcontracted scopes of work are understood by project team and properly enforced.
  • Ensuring that quality and safety requirements are enforced and resolution of any related issues that develop.
  • Managing the subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Ensuring documentation of project activities in accordance with company-established policies and procedures.
  • Controlling expenses within the budget constraints outlined in the monthly Job Cost Reports, and taking corrective actions when forecasts reflect overruns.
  • Resolving issues by developing and implementing innovative approaches, resulting in reduced costs and expedited work.
  • Managing the monthly payment request and Project Schedule update processes.
  • Assisting in project close-out.
BS in a construction-related discipline preferred, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant construction experience.
