Job Summary We are hiring a Construction Superintendent to supervise daily construction work on a federal / military installation in Fort Stewart, GA. This role is responsible for overseeing crews, coordinating subcontractors, managing daily field activities, supporting safety and quality standards, and keeping multiple minor construction projects moving efficiently. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on construction leadership experience who is comfortable supervising crews, coordinating trades, reading blueprints/specifications, managing production, and working in active indoor and outdoor jobsite environments.

Pay:

$80,000 - $110,000/year DOE Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across multiple minor construction projects. Lead crews engaged in construction work and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Coordinate subcontractor work onsite across assigned trades. Report to the Program Manager and communicate project updates, priorities, and issues. Plan daily work, allocate resources, and coordinate people, materials, equipment, and schedules. Review and verify crew timesheets and submit them to payroll on required days. Identify and communicate priority projects, jobsite issues, employee concerns, job costing concerns, or client complaints. Ensure proper safety procedures and incident reporting processes are followed. Communicate safety, field, or employee issues to the appropriate manager, Safety Department, or HR. Read and apply information from blueprints, surveys, job specifications, and project documents. Maintain strong communication, teamwork, morale, and employee satisfaction in the field. Support quality workmanship and efficient production on each project. Assist with hands-on construction trade work when needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. 5+ years of related construction experience required. Up to 10 years of related construction experience preferred. Hands-on supervisory construction experience required. Experience supervising crews and coordinating subcontractors. Experience coordinating trades, materials, equipment, schedules, and daily field production. Knowledge of construction practices, methods, techniques, and equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, surveys, job specifications, and project documents. Strong communication, coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to recognize jobsite issues and work toward solutions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality. Positive attitude and ability to work well with employees, clients, subcontractors, and team members.
