The company delivers complex, multi-scope vertical construction projects for government clients. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Superintendent who wants to work on commercial and government construction projects rather than residential construction. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with General Contractor experience to oversee day-to-day field operations on a government construction project at Fort Stewart, GA . The ideal candidate will have a proven background working directly for a General Contractor , managing subcontractors and multiple trades on commercial or government vertical construction projects. Responsibilities Manage daily field operations and construction activities Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel Manage sequencing and scheduling of multiple trades Maintain project quality and safety standards Review plans, specifications, and construction documents Coordinate inspections and resolve field issues Conduct and participate in project meetings Track daily progress and maintain field documentation Work closely with the Project Manager and project team Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to contract requirements Required Qualifications 5+ years of Superintendent experience working directly for a General Contractor Commercial and/or government vertical construction experience Experience managing multiple subcontractors and trades Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with project scheduling, quality control, and safety Strong communication and field leadership skills Government, federal, military, institutional, or other complex commercial construction experience is highly preferred Important Candidates must have previous General Contractor experience. We are not looking for residential-only Superintendents or candidates whose experience is limited to working for a specialty subcontractor/trade contractor.
