Site Superintendent (Industrial Construction) About the Role SJ & Construction is looking for an experienced, hands-on Site Superintendent to run day-to-day field operations on our active construction projects. You'll be the person on the ground orchestrating the job from mobilization through final completion — managing crews and subcontractors, keeping work aligned with drawings and specs, and making sure schedule, quality, and safety standards are met every single day. Field Operations & Crew Management Orchestrate all on-site activities from mobilization through final completion. Manage field crew and subcontractors — enforce quality, schedule, and safety standards. Review drawings and specs daily; report RFIs and discrepancies to the Project Manager immediately. Prepare the weekly work schedule; coordinate subcontractor schedules with the Project Manager. Supervise the Assistant Site Superintendent and any additional field crew assigned to the project. B. Daily Reporting & Documentation Submit a Daily Work Report (headcount, tasks completed, issues) to the Project Manager by 5:00 PM. Collect and submit hourly timecards to the office every Monday by 9:00 AM. Submit a Weekend/Holiday Work Report for any off-schedule work performed. Manage the field credit card; submit receipts with the weekly credit card report. C. Materials, Deliveries & Cost Control Coordinate deliveries with Purchasing; confirm receipt and forward packing slips. Report damaged, incorrect, or missing materials to the Project Manager and Purchasing immediately. Monitor labor, material, and equipment costs; report overruns to the Project Manager. Maintain tool and equipment inventory; prepare the punch list at project completion. D. Safety & Quality Control Conduct a weekly safety toolbox talk and collect the sign-off sheet. Inspect the site for hazards daily; enforce OSHA standards; report incidents immediately. Perform QC inspections at project milestones; document any non-conformances. Coordinate the final walkthrough and punch list completion with the Project Manager and owner. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in site management or a comparable field role. Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Strong working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and trades. OSHA 30-Hour certification required. Strong math skills; able to calculate quantities and material needs. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; comfortable with MS Office. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Korean) a plus, but not required.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
