Job Description
Commercial Construction Superintendent Yani Construction Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple active commercial construction projects. We are a growing, medium-sized General Contractor specializing in gas stations, convenience stores, and other commercial developments . We currently have several active projects and a strong pipeline of upcoming work. Yani Construction Group operates as a General Contractor utilizing subcontractors for all major trades and scopes of work . The Superintendent is responsible for supervising, coordinating, and holding subcontractors accountable rather than performing the trade work directly. Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day construction activities across multiple commercial job sites. Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and field schedules. Oversee site development , including grading, underground utilities, stormwater, paving, curbs, and other civil scopes. Oversee vertical construction from foundations through MEP, finishes, punch list, and project closeout. Coordinate and supervise petroleum installation subcontractors performing underground fuel systems, tanks, piping, dispensers, canopies, and related work. Petroleum expertise is not required, but the Superintendent must be capable of managing the subcontractors, sequencing their work with other trades, and ensuring the scope stays on schedule. Review plans and coordinate work between civil, architectural, structural, MEP, petroleum, and specialty subcontractors. Maintain project schedules and proactively identify issues that could cause delays. Ensure subcontractor work complies with plans, specifications, inspections, and company quality standards. Coordinate inspections and work with municipalities, engineers, project management, and subcontractors. Maintain safe, clean, and organized job sites. Provide consistent field updates and progress reports to the Project Manager. Coordinate with other Yani Construction Group Superintendents across active projects. Maintain a professional and friendly jobsite while operating in a very fast-paced construction environment . Requirements Minimum 4 years of commercial construction superintendent experience. Strong experience with both site/civil construction and vertical commercial construction required. Ability to manage projects from initial sitework through certificate of occupancy and closeout. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor coordination. Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, and MEP plans. Ability to supervise numerous subcontractors and multiple scopes simultaneously. Ability to oversee multiple active job sites and prioritize effectively. Highly organized and extremely attentive to detail. Strong problem-solving and field decision-making skills. Strong communication and leadership skills. Experience with gas stations or petroleum construction is beneficial but not required . Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of their projects, effectively manage subcontractors, stay ahead of schedules, identify problems before they create delays, and keep multiple commercial projects moving from sitework through final completion.Pay:
