Job Description

United Services of Des Moines is hiring a Reconstruction Project Supervisor to manage residential and commercial repair projects after water, fire, storm, and other property damage. We're growing our commercial capabilities and want someone who brings strong commercial construction experience to the team . The role covers both residential and commercial projects, but commercial expertise is what we're prioritizing in this hire. You'll oversee multiple trades and coordinate schedules, carpenters, subcontractors, materials, inspections, customers, and internal communication to keep repair projects moving from approved scope to completion. What You'll Do Manage reconstruction projects from start to finish — residential and commercial Review scopes, budgets, photos, and job details before work begins Schedule subcontractors, inspections, materials, and internal labor Visit jobsites regularly to check progress, quality, safety, and scope accuracy Communicate with homeowners, property managers, estimators, field staff, and subcontractors Track job status, change orders, delays, and punch list items Help keep projects on schedule, on budget, profitable, and completed to United Services' quality standards Maintain accurate job notes, photos, and documentation Solve jobsite problems before they become bigger issues What We're Looking For Experience working in the construction industry, including residential Minimum of 3 years project management experience within a construction setting Ability to work effectively with a team Sound planning and organizational skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to manage simultaneous projects and adjust to ever changing circumstances Experience with Job Costing Valid Driver's License and the ability to pass a criminal background check A Good Fit for This Role A good fit for this role is organized, practical, and steady under pressure, with a solid commercial construction background. You should be comfortable communicating with customers, coordinating people, solving problems, and keeping multiple projects moving at the same time. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you do need to take ownership, follow through, and care about doing the work the right way. Hours This is a full-time position. Hours required will vary and will often require travel to customer locations typically within an hour radius of the home office. Compensation and Benefits Cell phone reimbursement and laptop provided by company Company fleet vehicle Paid vacation, and bereavement leave Health, and Dental insurance eligibility on the first of the month following 60 days of employment 401k with employer matching 100% of the employee contribution up to 6% Company funded life insurance policy Base Salary and incentive. Pay range from $60,000 to $90,000+ depending on production.
