This role is ideal for someone early in their project management career who wants hands‑on exposure to design, vertical construction and front‑end entitlement work. You'll work closely with the company President, Development and Construction Project Managers, land use consultants, architects, engineers, utilities, and jurisdictional agencies. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing, submitting, and tracking entitlement applications, including: o Platting and subdivision approvals o Rezones and zoning map amendments o Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) o Development agreements o Design review packages o Variances o Conditional Use Permits (CUPs) or Special Use Permits (SUPs)
  • Support due diligence efforts, including research on zoning, utilities, site constraints, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare conceptual site layouts, preliminary grading concepts, and land-use exhibits to support entitlement applications.
  • Assist in managing day‑to‑day project activities from concept through construction closeout, across multiple projects.
  • Develop conceptual site plans, test fits, and early-stage design alternatives using AutoCAD or Civil 3D platforms to support feasibility studies, density analysis, and project programming.
  • Translate planning and design direction into clear, accurate CAD drawings, diagrams, and supporting graphics for internal use.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings; track design decisions and required revisions.
  • Support the review of drawings, specifications, and consultant deliverables.
  • Attend site walks and Owner, Architect, Contractor (OAC) meetings; document progress, issues, and action items. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Real Estate, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1-4 years of experience in development, construction, planning, or project coordination.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exposure to entitlement processes, land use applications, or municipal planning.
  • Exposure to multifamily, residential, commercial, retail, or office development projects.
  • Exposure to zoning codes, site planning, and permitting workflows.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D, Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat used for site planning and conceptual design.
  • Ability to create basic site plans, test fits, and conceptual layouts that reflect zoning requirements, site constraints, and development goals.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting civil, architectural, and utility plans.
