Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Sheet Metal General Foreman to lead and oversee sheet metal construction projects within the commercial sector. Responsibilities Lead and supervise sheet metal crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules. Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical specifications to interpret project requirements accurately. Coordinate construction schedules using industry-standard software such as Trim,ble and BuildOps to meet project milestones. Manage procurement, contracts, and change orders using tools like ProCore, Prolog, and Bluebeam to streamline documentation processes. Enforce OSHA standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment for all team members. Conduct quality control inspections, oversee installation processes, and ensure compliance with construction regulations and client specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues promptly and keep projects on track. Supervise crew management activities including training, performance evaluations, and safety briefings. Oversee construction schedule coordination, ensuring all phases of work are synchronized effectively across teams. Utilize construction management software for reporting progress, tracking costs, and maintaining accurate project records. Qualifications Proven experience in heavy commercial construction with a focus on sheet metal or mechanical systems. Strong supervisory background managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, technical drawings, and interpreting construction documents. Familiarity with industry-standard tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), HeavyBid, Prolog, OSHA safety standards, and construction scheduling software. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, project scheduling, and quality control measures effectively. Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently while maintaining safety compliance. Hands-on experience with construction site activities including installation supervision and safety management. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and OSHA standards applicable to commercial projects. Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical system verification when necessary. Strong organizational skills with the capacity to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while managing crew performance.
