Team / Site Leader - Modular Building Installation Wave Transport & Set Crew | Boise, Idaho | Regional Travel Required Build. Lead. Solve. Travel. Wave Transport & Set Crew is a growing specialty contractor providing mobile office and modular building installation services throughout the Mountain West. We're looking for a Team/Site Leader who enjoys hands-on work, takes ownership, knows how to lead people, and can confidently solve problems in the field. This isn't a warehouse position or a job where you'll do the same thing every day. You'll be the on-site leader responsible for taking a project from arrival through successful installation and client handoff. Travel Is a Major Part of This Position Please read this carefully before applying. This is a travel-intensive position . Our projects take place throughout Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana , and Team/Site Leaders should expect to travel frequently .Projects typically require being away from home for 2-7 consecutive days at a time . Wave Transport provides lodging and per diem for qualifying travel, and we work to provide project schedules in advance whenever possible. However, candidates should carefully consider whether frequent overnight travel and time away from home fit their lifestyle before applying. What You'll Do As the Team/Site Leader, you'll be trusted to lead a 2-4 person installation crew and take ownership of the job site.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading crews through mobile office, trailer, and modular building installations Coordinating multi-unit connections requiring accuracy, framing knowledge, and attention to detail Organizing the crew's daily workload and keeping projects moving Troubleshooting unexpected field conditions and finding practical solutions Making confident on-site decisions while knowing when an issue needs to be escalated Managing project timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards Communicating professionally with customers throughout the installation Conducting final walkthroughs and helping ensure a successful client handoff Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive job site Traveling throughout the Mountain West for multi-day projects Who We're Looking For Experience matters, but attitude, leadership, reliability, and problem-solving ability matter just as much. Relevant experience may come from construction, transportation, military service, athletics, field service, trades, or another hands-on environment.
Preferred experience includes: Previous crew, team, or field leadership Construction, framing, carpentry, or installation experience Familiarity with basic construction tools and methods Mobile office, modular building, or temporary structure installation Experience working independently in the field Customer service or other client-facing experience Compensation & Travel Benefits We believe strong performance and leadership should be rewarded.
