We are seeking a Job Owner to lead construction project delivery in Chicago, overseeing on-site operations, safety compliance, budget control and stakeholder coordination on contract assignments at $560-$800 per day.     • stakeholder management What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Taking ownership of daily construction operations and on-site safety compliance Coordinating construction sequencing with trades, inspectors and design teams to maintain project timeline Managing daily budgets, change orders and cost tracking to control project expenses Conducting safety briefings, inspections and corrective actions to maintain compliance and reduce risk Coordinating with general contractors, subcontractors and stakeholders to resolve issues and keep work moving Maintaining project documentation, schedules and close-out records Reporting project status, milestones and risks to leadership and project sponsors What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: 5-10 years of construction, project management or site operations experience Proven on-site leadership and ability to manage multiple trades and schedules simultaneously Working knowledge of construction safety regulations, OSHA compliance and safety protocols Experience with construction budgeting, cost control and change order management Ability to read construction documents, schedules and manage submittals and inspections Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, field-based environment Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent professional experience) Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have experience includes: Project Management Institute (PMI) or construction-specific certifications Experience with construction software and scheduling tools Leadership or mentoring experience with field teams What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: Direct involvement in bringing complex construction projects to completion Scope to drive safety, quality and efficiency improvements on active job sites Exposure to full-cycle project delivery, from planning through closeout Flexible contract terms with day rates competitive to the market Opportunity to build a track record of successful project delivery Potential progression to larger or more complex project assignments based on performance About Specialist Staffing Group We are a staffing and recruitment partner specializing in connecting skilled professionals with contract and permanent opportunities across construction, engineering and related disciplines.
