This may mean that the CM is on the jobsite 12+ hours in a day.

  • The Construction Manager should have a good working relationship with plant personnel. The CM is responsible for ensuring all plant working permits are completed, organized, and available for each work shift. The CM will be responsible for knowing if a change order is reasonable and communicating that to the Project Manager.
  • The Construction Manager should keep a positive attitude during all work. The CM will set the mood for the contractors.
  • The Construction Manager should respect the contractors and not push in an aggressive manner. Working with the contractors to solve issues ahead of time is well received and respected.
