Role:
As a Day Service QIDP you will play a key leadership role in supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this position, you will help create a safe, engaging, and meaningful day program where individuals can learn new skills, build independence, and connect with their community. You will lead and support Direct Support Professionals, coordinate team meetings, and help develop schedules and activities that focus on each person's goals. This role is both hands-on and administrative. You will spend time supporting individuals in daily activities and community outings, while also completing documentation, ensuring compliance, and providing staff training. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. At least one year of experience working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Must meet DHS requirements for QIDP in Illinois. Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs. Proficiency in basic physical tasks such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting. Basic computer skills. CPR and First Aid certification. Valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Meet and maintain PACE certification as required for the position.
Responsibilities:
Administrative/Professional:
Support the Mission Statement and agency values of Search. Demonstrate leadership by fostering teamwork, respecting differing viewpoints, and solving problems creatively. Advocate for individuals' rights and services. Convene and coordinate interdisciplinary team meetings for individuals. Provide training to direct care staff. Create and implement quarterly Master schedules for Glidepath Curriculum. Maintain compliance with personnel policies and corporate compliance regulations. Ensure that all documentation related to services, including ISs, Risk Assessments, progress notes and incident reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Complete incident reports and vehicle maintenance reports as required. Attain continuing education credits annually.
Individual Interaction:
Demonstrate kindness, courtesy, and flexibility in meeting individual needs. Assist individuals with activities of daily living and personal self-care. Facilitate community activities and outings for individuals. Ensure individuals are engaged in meaningful activities throughout the day. Support individuals in working towards their goals and greater independence. Provide supportive counseling and problem-solving assistance.
Cleanliness and Order:
