Construction Superintendent - Residential & Commercial Keeler Construction Group Chicagoland Area Full-Time About the Position Keeler Construction Group is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple active residential and commercial construction projects throughout the Chicagoland area. We are looking for a hands-on leader who plans ahead, solves problems, holds crews accountable, and takes ownership of projects from start to finish. This is not a desk position. You will be in the field daily coordinating employees and subcontractors, checking quality, confirming materials, communicating project needs, and making sure every job is prepared for the next day's work. Responsibilities Manage multiple active construction projects and service jobs Coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, and deliveries Provide clear daily direction to field crews Develop and maintain project schedules Plan work several days ahead to prevent downtime Confirm materials are ordered and on site before crews arrive Perform jobsite walkthroughs and quality-control inspections Ensure work matches plans, scopes, specifications, and company standards Identify problems early and provide solutions Coordinate inspections and project milestones Track job progress and communicate schedule changes Maintain organized, clean, and safe jobsites Document daily progress with photos, notes, and project-management software Review completed work before calling it finished Maintain punch lists and drive projects through final completion Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, subcontractors, and company management Hold crews and subcontractors accountable for quality, productivity, and schedule What We're Looking For 5+ years of construction experience preferred Previous Superintendent, Project Manager, Foreman, or similar leadership experience Strong residential and/or commercial construction knowledge Ability to understand plans, specifications, and scopes of work Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and multiple trades Excellent organization and scheduling skills Ability to manage several projects simultaneously Strong communication and leadership skills Comfortable using smartphones, photos, texts, email, and project-management applications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and make decisions in the field The Right Person for This Position You should be the type of person who walks onto a project and immediately knows: What needs to happen today.
