Install Project Manager This position will manage projects for Window and Door Installation.

The Project Manager (PM) position will manage the entire job, specifically the window and door construction process, from technical measurements in the home through installation and completion of the construction project. The PM ensures the installation is possible. The PM also ensures customer satisfaction while applying sound business judgement and accepted measurement techniques. Knowledge of window and door installation is needed. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Provide accurate and timely measurements, materials list, installation notes and ensure compliance with required residential building codes.
- Perform job site visits, quality checks, and installation training.
- Review all jobs with lead installers prior to job commencement, to provide an overall scope of the project.
- Ensure all jobs are staged properly to ensure accurate material quantity and type before the installer's departure.
- Serve as primary job-site contact for installation crews, and customers, for the entirety of the installation life cycle.
- Resolve all installation and customer discrepancies during the installation process.
- Ensure all installation labor overages are valid, properly documented, and within proper margins.
- Communicate with internal staff, supply-chain vendors, and sub-contractors as necessary to ensure all jobs are completed on-time and on-budget.
- Identify areas of need for ongoing training and development for existing and new installers to ensure long-term success.
- Perform post-installation assessments for products or installations which fail to meet established standards. Prescribe work and materials necessary to correct product or installation deficiencies.
- Assist with hiring new installers. Evaluate trial installation of all applying installers to confirm installers capabilities and quality levels.
- Assign the appropriate installation crews and determine the time necessary for each job based on the complexity and skills necessary to complete each job.
- Provide direct management and leadership to installation crews, including overall assessment of installation capabilities and development.
- Effectively set expectations with the homeowner by proactively recognizing situations that could impact customer expectations and job costs. Address any potential issues during initial measure appointment and document discussed potential solutions if these issues should arise.
- Serve as primary liaison between sales and the customer. Provide solutions to ensure successful first-time completion.
- Assist with installation and service work as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong commitment to time management.
- Dependable and punctual with appointments, documentation, and commitments.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, installation crews, internal staff, and company leadership.
- A strong understanding of residential building construction.
- Ability to learn new technologies.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
